Konduit Supervisor

Overview
To plan, direct and supervise the Konduit program, the Junior Staff. Discipleship Program of Star Lake Camp. Its goal is to develop leadership and Christian fellowship skills in the 15-16 year old staff through worship, life skill activities and discipleship modules.
Responsibilities
Be involved in the training of the Konduit workers in their job responsibilities. While this will be ledwith their work supervisor.
by the Kitchen & Dining Supervisors, you will need to be familiar with it and work in cooperation
Work with the Camp Directors in designing and following an orientation schedule for the Konduit.their duties. In addition, you will need to plan and lead activities to help the Konduit staff get to
know each other and come together as a team. i.e. ropes course, team building initiative activities, etc.
They will be required to attend some full-staff sessions as well as sessions which are specific to
Supervise and lead the Konduit curriculum, with the understanding that adjustments can and will
be made as needed.
Organize, direct and lead the Konduit staff in their morning devotions using the Hook, Book, Look,
Took method as per the assigned schedule.
Scheduling in cooperation with the Head Counselors for the Konduit staff to be with the cabins
during the week as training for future Junior Counselors.
Organize, contact guests, lead the Konduit staff in life-skill activities as per the curriculum. This(Check with our EDS Department), Babysitters course, Money Management, Boating, Archery,
Resume writing, Preparing for an interview etc.
will include, but not be limited to Learning Leadership (Michael Brandwein), CPR, First Aide
Organize and lead the Konduit discipleship modules as per the curriculum.
Organize and lead the once per session off camp activities. These are to be light in nature. For
example, bowling, movie, minature golf etc.
Work with Konduit staff on the skits, dances, etc. that they will perform at opening campfires.
Work with Konduit staff in developing once per each session running an evening program for the
camper community.
Be involved with the Kitchen/ Dining Supervisors and Camp Director in any conflict resolution,
discipline, evaluations (2 required per summer), and terminations etc that are needed.
During mealtime, help supervise a camper's table as assigned.
Organize the "crossover" graduation ceremony for the Konduit staff, making sure to include
invitations to their Corp Officer's, Divisional Commander, Program Secretary etc.
Qualifications
Active Salvation Army soldier/Christian in good standing.
College student or at least 21 years of age
Two years of camp experience or equivalent group work experience in Christian teen ministry
Leadership experience, including experience and ability in conflict resolution
Interest, knowledge and skills in leading young people in discipleship activities, ability to teach and
encourage others
Desire and ability to work with children and adults outdoors
Self-motivated, responsible, an independent worker, and organized
Ability to relate to one's peer group
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Good character, integrity, and adaptability to camp setting
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
