Waterfront Director

Overview
To plan, direct, and supervise Star Lake camp's waterfront program.
Responsibilities
Involvement in the total camp program with willingness to assist in all areas as needed, including dining room, campfire programs, children with problems, Health Unit, etc.
Promote observance of spiritual emphasis in program and of the moral and ethical code affecting campers and staff.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings.
Responsible for sharing with Program Director all matters of mutual concern relating to the total welfare of the camp.
Qualifications
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to share your faith with others
College student or at least 21 years of age
Training and experience in waterfront activities and management (at least one year)
Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED and Waterfront Skills certification
WSI (Water Safety Instruction) certification
Ability to schedule and supervise staff
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors
Ability to relate to one's peer group
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Good character, integrity, and adaptability
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
